Since 1979, Rubbedin has produced excellent, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly cleaning and surface protection solutions that are Australian Made & Owned. The company was started by Dr Donald Lakeland, a metallurgist and lecturer at the University of Queensland. Magic Hotplate Restorer was created as a result of Don's sister-in-law asking him to repair her stove's rusted solid hotplates. It is still a consumer favourite today, and his enthusiasm for developing other products including the Firewise lines to address cleaning and surface protection issues led to many more.
