BBQ Spit Rotisseries Helping a Community Garden Grow

BBQ Spit Rotisseries is proud to have donated a range of pizza oven tools to Joy of the Earth Community Garden in Frankston to use with their newly constructed wood fired pizza oven.

The community garden was established by a group of community minded individuals in Frankston VIC who came together to start the garden on the old tennis courts in the Joy Street Reserve.

Since the working party formed in 2011 , the garden has attracted over 60 members with individual plots and has become a popular place for locals to host their gatherings such as birthday parties, hens days and Melbourne Cup parties. A large wood fired pizza oven was constructed to help enhance the community feel and give members the opportunity to cook meals using their fresh ingredients from the garden.

When approached by volunteer builder and community garden member Rob Poole, BBQ Spit Rotisseries was more than willing to assist by donating all the necessary tools and accessories needed to make great wood fired pizzas. I told Rob that next time they’re firing up the oven that I want to be the official taste tester!
