Mini Chicken Wings or Drummettes

Cooking a few chicken drummettes on a spit roaster is an easy way to cook for just a few people. While you can cook a roast chicken using normal rotisserie spikes, cooking a chicken drummettes in a basket will give you a delicious smoky flavour and make you the charcoal chicken king or queen.

Ingredients:

Method:

  • Marinate chicken wings in Flaming Coals Gyros Spit Roaster Seasoning for minimum 2 hours. (overnight is best)
  • Placing wings in Auspit Spitmate or in a Cyprus Spit Basket
  • Roast over medium heat until cooked, golden brown and they have reached an internal temperature of 75 degrees

Attaching it to the spit:

  • You'll need a skewer and a Spit Mate, either the Junior or the Medium one
  • Pass the skewer through the Spit Mate on where you put the chicken wings or drummettes
  • Lock tight the Spitmate to the skewer using the wing nut
  • Turn the motor on

Cooking time:

Many things will affect your cooking time, however allow around 2-2.5-hours to be on the safe side.
