How to smoke Pork Ribs | Offset Smoker Recipe
Do you love incredibly tender pork ribs? If you do, then you’re about to get really excited!
Making juicy, tender delicious restaurant quality smoked ribs at home is easier than you think! With the Flaming Coals offset smoker you’ll be making these incredible pork ribs at home for your friends and family in no time!
Start off with some great quality pork ribs however if this is your first time cooking feel free to buy cheap ribs from Aldi, Costco or alike until you’ve perfected the art!
Remove the membrane from the back of your pork ribs before lightly seasoning with your favourite rub. We highly recommend the Kosmos Q Dirty Bird rub on ribs. The sweetness, colour and flavour will be out of this world good!
In today’s cook, we however used the Flaming Coals Traditional lamb rub for a little hit of rosemary! But feel free to experiment with flavours to find your desired flavour profile.
Once rubbed, get those racks into the pre-heated Flaming Coals offset. You’re looking for a chamber temp of about 275f. Allow those to cook for about 1.5 hours.
While they are smoking away and soaking up all of that beautiful rich smokey goodness, it’s time to prep your wrap. Using pink butcher paper lay a good coating of butter, Canadian maple syrup and Worcestershire sauce.
Lay your first rack on the paper, repeat the process of butter, maple syrup and Worcestershire sauce and then sandwich the second rack on top. Repeat the same process again on top and then firmly wrap your rib sandwich holding all that moisture and sweet goodness in!
Throw it back on the smoker to finish cooking. Remove your ribs once the meat is falling off the bone and swimming in a pool of buttery sweet delicious goodness.
Slice your ribs and serve immediately.
